Mrs. Etta May Abbott, 76, of 309 D Street, South Norfolk, died of a heart attack yesterday at 6 p.m. at her residence.
She was a native of Pittsville, Ohio, and had made her home in this section for 61 years. She was a daughter of the late William ad Mrs. Emily Ann Williams Rogers, and wife of the late Walter Roswell Abbott.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James A. Dews, of South Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Abbott, of South Norfolk, and Mrs. Mary Rowland, of Portlock; one granddaughter, Miss Ada May Dews, of South Norfolk.
She was a charter member of the Chesapeake Avenue Methodist Church.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 3 p.m. with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.
