Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Bea Armstrong was held on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlem Church of the Nazarene 1101 Cherry Aveune Orange, Texas. The Reverend Adam N. Washington, Sr., pastor, officiated the services.
Ella Bea Armstrong was born December 23, 1936 to the late Clarence and Beatrice Richard in Lawtell, LA.
She moved to Orange in the early 60s.
She united in marriage to the late Preston Armstrong, Sr.
She is the proud mother of nine children.
On Monday, December 29, 2003, Ella entered eternal rest at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Tx.
Cherishing her memories are four sons, Joseph Richard, David Lee Armstrong, Preston Armstrong Jr. and Ricky Armstrong, all of Orange, four daughters, Peggy Boone of Orange, and Brenda Ardoin, Lesia Williams, and Sabrina Armstrong, all of Beaumont; four brothers, Howard Richard of Arnaudville, LA, John and Austin Richard, both of Lawtell, LA, and Clarence Richard, Jr. of Orange; three sisters, Mary Richard of Eunice, La, Merlie Mae GRiffin of League City, TX, and Wanita Tezino of Houston, TX; 25 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, special nephew, Donald Tezino, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Louis Edward Armstrong; two brothers, Michael and Eugene Richard; one sister, Anna Belle Neville.
Pallbearers were Clarence Richard, Jr., Frank TEzino, Sr., Austin Richard, Howard Richard, John Richard, Jr., Albert Davis, Sr. Honorary pallbearers were her sons, Preston Armstrong, Jr., Ricky Armstrong, David Armstrong and Joseph Richard.
