Mrs. Laura Dye Allison, 60, of Mansfield, died Sunday, January 2 at Mansfield General Hospital following a two=month illness.
She was born April 4, 1922, in Caldwell, the daughter of the late Willis E. Coyle and Alice Ray. She was the former owner and operator of a beauty shop in Philo. Mars Allison had lived for 13 years in Mansfield and was a member of East Hill United Methodist Church, the Mansfield Christian Women's Association and the Cloverleaf Homemakers.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Allison; three children, Mrs. Everett G. (Marie) Leedom of 275 Cohen Drive, Mrs. Brooks (Carol) Wilson of Malta and Richard Allison of Massillon; a sister, Jewel Stover of Columbus; two brothers, John Coyle of Canton and Franz Coyle of McConnelsville, and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Finefrock Funeral Home in Mansfield, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Elizabeth Sykes officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cumberland Cemetery.
