German De La Cruz Alvarado, aGE 67, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011 in Socorro, NM. German was born on May 28, 1944 to Agapito Robles and Guadalupe (De La Cruz Esquivel) Alvarado in Gomez Placio, Durango, Mexico. German was a resident of Socorro since 1981. German was a hard worker and was very dedicated and loyal to his family and friends. German loved farming, it was his life. German was preceded in death by his parents. German is survived by his wife, Marie Alvarado, his son, Rueben Alvarado Mendoza, his daughter, Angela Alvarado, his step-daughters, Sandra Ayala, Claudia Lopez and Erica Lopez, his step-sons, Osvaldo Lopez and Eddie Lopez, grandchildren, Edgar Lopez, Eliza Lopez, Natalie Lopez, and Felipe Romero, great-grandsons, Miguel Juan Armendariz and Jyzzel Perito, 12 other grandchildren and his good friend and employer, Abigail Judy Armendariz and her husband, Bill of Socorro, NM. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel followed by a Rosary, which will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery.
