Ronald Paul Beers, 56, of Albuquerque, born in Santa Fe on June 25, 1950, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007. He is survived by his wife and partner of 25 years, Kitty Ward-Beers; mother, Wilma Beers-Page; eldest daughter, Bonnie Murphy; younger daughter, Dr. Nicole Scally; son, Shane Beers; step-sons, Brian and Chris Ward; son-in-law, David Murphy; brother, Bobby Bogard; sister, Lori Beers-Ashoo; four beautiful grandchildren; and three beautiful step-grandchildren. There will be two Services to commemorate Ron's life. The First Service will be held Thursday, March 22, 2007, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel in Albuquerque, for those family and friends who are unable to travel to Cimarron. There will be a Celebration of his life on Friday, March 23, 2007, 6:00 p.m., at the St. James Hotel, on 17th and Collison, located on NM 21 about a half mile south of the intersection with NM 64 in Cimarron, NM. A Second Service will take place on Saturday, March 24, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at the outdoor Philmont Ranch Chapel, or at the Philmont Ranch Assembly Hall in case of inclement weather. To reach the Philmont Ranch Chapel from the St. James Hotel in Cimarron, head Northwest on 10TH ST / US-64 toward N Euclid Ave. Continue to follow US-64 and the Philmont Ranch will be on your left in less than half a mile. Ron will be laid to rest immediately following the Second Service at Mount View Cemetery, in Cimarron, NM. This is where he spent most of his days as a young man, as a cowboy, doing what he loved most in life. He will be placed close to his Aunt Irene and Uncle Tommy Crenshaw, whom he loved dearly and who shared with him all they knew about living the life of a cowboy.
