TENNILLE, Ga. - Mr. Ivey Ray Anderson Jr., age 91, of Tennille, died Friday March 9, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, at 2:00pm at the Tennille Baptist Church with burial in the Zeta Cemetery. Rev. Mark Jones III and Rev. Chuck Love will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mr. Anderson's sons and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Washington County Farm Bureau, the Men's adult three Sunday school class at Tennille Baptist and the Tennille Baptist Breakfast Prayer Club. Mr. Anderson was born in Washington County the son of the late Ivey R. Anderson Sr. and the late Docia Gilbert Anderson. He was a lifelong farmer and member of the Tennille Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a member of the adult three Sunday school class. Mr. Anderson served as a Washington County Commissioner for 16 years of which 12 years he served as chairman. He was a charter member of the Washington County Farm Bureau and was named farmer of the year in 1955. Mr. Anderson is predeceased by his first wife Alberta Tompkins Anderson. Survivors are his wife Mary Lin Anderson of Tennille, children, Carolyn A. Harrelson (E.J.) of Tennille, William Ray Anderson of Tennille, Charles David Anderson (Nora Mae) of Warthen, Bobby Gene Anderson (Gail) of Tennille, Ivey Tompkins (Tommy) Anderson, of Tennille and Lynn Brown of Davisboro, grandchildren, Berta Hartzell, Philip R. Harrelson, Beth Herman, Charles Anderson, Teresa Rhodes, Joy Brown, Ashley Anderson, Tina Smith, Ivey Broxton, Kevin Sanders, Kelli Sanders, Clayton Sanders, and Leigh Barrett, great grandchildren, Justin Hartzell, Joshua Hartzell, Daniel Anderson, Sydney Anderson, Eva Brown, Elisa Brown, Abigale Harrelson, Carlin Harrelson, Grace Hohnadel, Ava Smith, Duncan Smith, Ross Smith, Easton Sanders, and Sydney Barrett, his brother Rogers Anderson of Sandersville, sisters Dorothy Kennedy of Tennille and Sarah Brown of Warthen.
