Robert Franklin Acree is the son of Albin Abner "Abbie" Acree (1826-1898) and Martha Ann Lacy (1830-1919). He married Luther Cordelia Strain (Nabers) (1878-1971) on 23 May 1913 in Gordon County, Georgia. Together they have one son:

OBITUARY: "Calhoun Times" Calhoun, GA, August 22, 1957
Robert F. Acree, 83, died suddenly at this home in Calhoun, Tuesday Aug. 20. Although he had been in declining health for several years, his condition had been much improved during recent months. His death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born at Hill City, December 26, 1873, Mr. Acree spent all his life in Gordon County with the exception of about two years spent in Oklahoma and Texas when he was a young man. He was the youngest child of seven born to Albin and Martha Ann Acree. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death, and he was the last of this pioneer family.
A farmer and business man until his retirement several years ago, he was somewhat active in business until his death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Calhoun, and a member of Hill City No. 319 Masonic Lodge. On Jan. 14, 1956 this lodge honored him with a banquet in honor of his 50th year of membership and presented him with his 50 year pin.
He is survived by his wife; the son, Robert A. Acree of Calhoun; one daughter, Mrs. Judson Terrell of Chattanooga; two stepsons, J.P. Nabers of Atlanta and Maurice L. Nabers of Macon; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jewell Barton of Atlanta and Mrs. W.R. Paxton of Canon City, Colo.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Aug. 22, from the First Baptist Church in Calhoun at 3:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Solon C. Couch and the Rev. H.E. Holland. Music was by Mrs. Allen Roff and Royal Teague.
Pallbearers were Judson Terrell Jr. of Chattanooga, J.T. Acree and Marvin Acree Jr. of Calhoun, Charles Acree of Dalton, Travis Acree of Atlanta, and Maurice Nabers Jr. of Montgomery, Ala.
Burial was in Fain Cemetery with Hill City Masonic Lodge in charge of graveside services.
