Mrs. Alice Tucker Allen, 68, died Friday morning at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native and life-long resident of Bulloch County, Mrs. Allen was a member of the Leefield Baptist Church and the Woman's Missionary Union.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cathy Richardson and Miss Cindy Allen, both of Brooklet; one son, Bobby Allen, Savannah; four sisters, Mrs. Elouise Brannen and Mrs. Marjorie White, both ot Statesboro, Mrs. Lucille Joiner, Brooklet, and Mrs. Bernice Drake, Swainsboro; four brothers, James Tucker, Port Wentworth, Ted Tucker, San Francisco, Calif., Frank Tucker, Philadelphia, Penn., and Charles Tucker, Statesboro; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Leefield Baptist Church with the Rev. Kermit Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Brooklet City Cemetery. Nephews of Mrs. Allen will serve as active pallbearers. Hodges-Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
