Born July 7, 1930, in Cumberland,Maryland, Palmer was the son of the late Loretta Leasure. Mr. Adams was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth (May) Adams.

He was a United States Marine veteran having served in the Korean War. He was retired from CSX Railroad and had previously worked for Pittsburgh Plate and Glass. He was a member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 245, Fort Cumberland Post 13 American Legion, and Henry Hart Post 14 V.F.W.

He is survived by his son; his daughter; three grandsons; a stepgrandson; and his friend, Tova.
