He was a United States Marine veteran having served in the Korean War. He was retired from CSX Railroad and had previously worked for Pittsburgh Plate and Glass. He was a member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 245, Fort Cumberland Post 13 American Legion, and Henry Hart Post 14 V.F.W.
He is survived by his son; his daughter; three grandsons; a stepgrandson; and his friend, Tova.
