Benny Booker - a native of Andalusia, AL and a lifelong resident of Mobile County, AL died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Booker was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Booker; and brother, Randy Booker. He is survived by his wife, Nell Booker of Mobile, AL; two children, Carol Booker and Benny (Amanda) Booker, Jr. both of Satsuma, AL; his mother, Helen Whiting of Satsuma, AL; one sister, Kathy (Gary) Byers of Taft, TN; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with The Reverend Dr. Karnig Kazanjian officiating. Mr. Booker will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. Pallbearers will be Dave Carmany, Gary Byers, Tommy Moody, Mike Carmichael, Paul Sutherland, Michael Steade, Tom Lott, and Roy Blaylock. Interment will be in Satsuma Cemetery, Satsuma, AL. Arrangements by RADNEY FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Dauphin Street Mobile, AL 36606.
