Once more the messenger of death has visited our community and claimed for His victim Mrs. Anna (Roberts) Boknecht, who was born October 12, 1871. She was united in marriage to Fred Boknecht October 13, 1887. To their union were born eight children – seven boys and one girl, of whom one boy preceded her to the heavenly land. She departed this life, after a short illness of kidney trouble, April 3, 1907, aged 35 years, 6 months and nine days. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Gerkensmeyer, in both German and English, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Boknecht cemetery. Deceased leaves her husband, seven children, mother, two sisters, one brother and a host of friends to mourn their loss.
