Her remains were transported to the National Cemetery at the Presidio of San Francisco in 1890. She was the most noted camp follower of the War with Mexico attaching herself to Zachary Taylor’s Army as a laundress and cook. She was laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Yuma’s post cemetery.
