Lazarita S. Pacheco, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Meadows Long Term Care in Las Vegas, NM. Lazarita was born on April 15, 1923 in El Rito Salado, NM(Tecolote) to the late Alberto Sánchez and Cesaria Domínguez-Sánchez.
Lazarita loved sewing, cooking and was a member of the San Miguel Senior Citizens. Lazarita was a Catholic and member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
Lazarita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Margarito Pacheco and son, David Pacheco.
Lazarita is survived by sons and daughters, LeRoy and Chavela Pacheco, Dora Hacker, Virginia Romero and Victor all of Albuquerque, NM, Clorinda Martínez, Angie, Richard Pacheco and Sandra, Lorraine Martínez and Joseph all of Las Vegas, NM, Dolores Vigil and Chris and and Loretta Pacheco all of Corrales, NM, 29 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.
Rosary service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will take place at Los Montoya's Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers, Gabriel Pacheco, Richard Martínez, Vicente Romero, Joseph Martínez Jr., Kenny Pacheco Sr., Kenneth Pacheco Jr., Anthony Pacheco, Richard Pacheco Jr., Mark Vigil and Eric Vigil. Serving as honorary bearers will be the rest of her grandchildren.
