Warren was born December 18, 1920, in Upsala to Andrew and Nellie (Pehrson) Martinson. He attended school in Upsala. On December 18, 1941, he married Elsie Berens in Long Prairie.
He served in the US Army during World War II in Normandy, Northern France, and Germany.
Warren worked at the Upsala Co-op Creamery and Feed Store for 20 years. He was then part owner of Proto Sheet Metal Co. in Adren Hills until retirement. Warren was a charter member of the Upsala Volunteer Fire Department and past member of the American Legion of Upsala.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Walter, Stanley, and Grant Martinson; three sisters, Vinnie Swenson, Pearl Michaelis, and Grace Erlandson; and two grandchildren, Amber and Adam Martinson.
