The oldest of 15 children. Hazel lived to be 100 years old.

Hazel Sena Langvardt Barton, 100, of Junction City was born Sept. 29, 1902, in rural Geary County, the daughter of of Jesse Jorgen and Ada Isora (Collins) Langvardt; died Nov. 20, 2002 at Enterprise; married Harley W. Barton, Aug. 23, 1923, in Kansas Falls. He preceded her in death in 1991; also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Janet Schlegel; seven brothers, Jesse, Jack, Donnell, Howard, LaVern, Eldon and Wayne; three sisters, Bernice, Neola and Ada; and two great-granddaughters, Taryn and Starlyn; survived by one son, one daughter, two sisters, two brothers, nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren
