Karen K. Harsch, 72, formerly of Miami, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 17, 2015.

She was born October 19, 1942 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Loren and Eva Mae (Smith) Williams. She graduated from Welch High School in 1960 with honors and many achievements. One of her many favorites was playing on the girls varsity basketball team, serving as captain of the team. After high school she attended N.E.O. A&M College, and was a member of the Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and Norse Star Drill Team. After college she began a 22 year career working at B.F. Goodrich, as a personal secretary and later as supervisor of the data processing department, until its closure in 1986. She then moved to Harrisonville, MO, working for Troutt, Beeman, Norton & Kahmann, P.C. as their administrative director. She then retired and moved to Carrollton, MO to care for her parents until their passing. She currently resided in Tulsa, OK.

She had been a member of the Miami Golf & Country Club, PEO Sister and the Carroll County Genealogical Society in Carrollton, Missouri. She was currently a member at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, transferring membership from All Saints Episcopal Church in Miami, Oklahoma.

She enjoyed attending and serving as a volunteer at church, traveling, golf, tennis, playing bridge with the ladies, doing genealogy and watching college basketball on TV. Most of all she loved being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Jim Williams.

She is survived by her daughter Cathy Baker and son-in-law David, Miami, Oklahoma. A grandson Brandon Baker, Miami, Oklahoma, a nephew Joe Williams and his wife Mary Catherine, Citrus Heights, California, an Uncle and Aunt Gerald and Bonnie Smith, Carrollton, Missouri, 10 loving cousins, one sister-in-law Ruth Williams, Hattiesburg, Mississippi and a special friend Noel Doherty.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Miami, OK. The Rev. Noel Doherty and The Rev. Mary Koppel will officiate. Interment will be in All Saints’ Garden of Good Shepherd. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
