Obituary - Waukesha Daily Freeman Newspaper - April 15, 1897
GRASER -- A little before six o'clock on Tuesday evening Mrs. Katherine Graser, an old resident of New Berlin, died, at her home in that town of hemorrage of the brain. She was born in November, 1825, at Kriegsfield, Germany, and came to this country in 1847; and after residing in the state of New York for about twenty-two years, came to Wisconsin, where she has lived ever since at New Berlin. Mrs. Graser started for church Tuesday evening, and said before starting that she would rather walk than ride. Some minutes afterwards she was discovered by her grandson on the roadside, still conscious, but slowly dying. Before a physician could be summoned to her side, she was in an unconscious state, and soon died. Mrs. Graser leaves two sons and one daughter. They are J. F. Graser and Adam Graser, of New Berlin, and Mrs. Simon Kern, of Pewaukee. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon from the old home, and afterwards services will be held at the New Berlin German Reformed Church.
