Moses H Whiteside was born in Benton county, Mississippi in 1842. He enlisted in the Confederate army (Second Infantry, A, Wh-Y AND Second Mississippi Infantry (Army of 10,000) in 1862 at the age of 20 years. He was wounded in the Battle of Bristoe Station on October 14, 1863 and died of his wounds in Richmond, VA on 11/6/1863. He is believed to be buried in an unmarked grave at he Bristoe Battlefield cemetery.
