Isaac came from Connecticut to Richmond, Vermont about the year 1785, and located in the southern part of the town (Richmond was chartered by the Legislature of Vermont on October 27, 1794), where he remained until his death.
He married Clarissa Fay (1785-1859) by whom he had 19 children: including sons Elisha (b. 1808), Ezra B. (b. 1824), and Samuel the father of Dr. B. J. Andrews (b. 1850).
