Adolph Blahnik was the oldest son of Bohemian immigrants Josef Blahnik 1854-1932 and Katherine Lips 1853-1927. His father was a musician trained in Prague and Adolph and his brothers were involved in several bands. Adolph played clarinet and also arranged music. He also worked as a farm laborer and furniture dealer and carpenter.
Adolph married Emma Lazandky on Nov. 14, 1906 at Holy Rosery Parish in Kewaunee Co, WI. They moved to Antigo about 1936.
Adolph and Emma had ten children; Edward 1907-1997, Sylvia (Alice) 1909-1983, Alfred 1910-2001, Irene Dufek 1913, Mabel Totzke 1914, Milas 1916-2006, Melvin 1918-2000, Daniel 1924-1985, Marie Narloch 1926-2010 and Adolph Jr. 1928-1990.
Adolph died on June 2, 1962 in Antigo, Langlade Co, WI.
