WAYSIDE: Tommy Willis Beckworth, Jr., 38, of Gordon Road, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, in a local nursing home. The family will greet friends from 10:00 - 11:00am, prior to an 11:00am graveside service on Monday, May 24, 2010, at Wayside Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Rev. Don Hendrix officiating.
Mr. Beckworth, the son of Tommy Willis Beckworth, Sr. and Lillian Louise Gordon Beckworth, was born in Panama City, Florida, on August 26, 1971, and had lived in Wayside for the past twenty-five years. He was a self-employed construction worker.
Mr. Beckworth is survived by his parents: Tommy & Louise Beckworth, Sr., of Wayside; sisters and brothers-in-law: Tanya and Michael Gasaway and Mary Ann and Drew Branigan, all of Gray; daughters: Myranda Beckworth and Cassie Beckworth, both of Milledgeville; grandmother: Annie Gordon of Wayside; and by several nieces and nephews.
