Mrs. E.R. Batton
Rites Held Monday;
Ill Several Months
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Brushwood church for Mrs. Emily R. Batton, 87, who died at her home at Dubberly at 6:10 a.m. Monday. Mrs. Batton was one of Dubberly's oldest residents. She had been ill for several months.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are three sons, C.A. Batton of Dubberly, E.H. Batton of Minden, and E.C. Batton; three daughters, Mrs. W.R. Cook and Mrs. R.M. David, both of Dubberly, and Miss Susie Batton, Minden; two sisters, Mrs. E.G. Newman of Shreveport and Miss Lannie Myrick of Dubberly; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted by Rev. J.O. James, Rev. G. Pomeroy, Rev. Keasler and Rev. N.E. Joyner. Pallbearers were H.M. Greer, R.H. Manning, I.W. Rowland, Jack Dew, O. Walstrom and R.M. Davis.
