Born February 24, 1921 to devoted parents Gus and Dena Belmont in Brooklyn, NY, and to a large, loving family that she never stopped speaking about with great sentiment.
Survived by sons David (Beth), Mark (Susan), and Myles (Jo); grandchildren Dean (Karen), Lauren (Greg), and Lacey; great-grandchildren Zoe, Sam, Jonah, and Ella; step-children James, Jay, and Joan; step-granddaughter Bram; and step-great-grandchildren Peter and Nikey. Predeceased by cherished brother Jim Belmont. Also survived by cousins Sonny (Joan), Lola, Penny (Clyde), and Hank (Irene) and beloved sister-in-law Paula. Married to A. Harold Fox (deceased) for twenty-four years, Herman "Shep" Sheppard (deceased) for twenty-six years, and Jackson Edwards (deceased) for twelve years.
She led a glorious, full life, highlighted by romance, friendships spanning decades, travel, arts, and many fun times with the people she loved. Most importantly, she made her children and their loved ones central to her life. Vibrant, strong, loving. An informed advisor in matters of heart, character and etiquette. Always compassionate and sensitive to others. A left-handed painter of abstracts of beauty, emotion, and tumult. She engaged in lifelong charitable endeavors.
Resident of Brooklyn, Woodmere, Manhattan, and Boca Raton. Always deeply involved in her sons' lives and generous with her care and support for all. Now at peace.
