James was the son of George and Sevelar (Stiles) Alexander. He attended Farris and Atoka Schools. James was a Supervisor for Commercial Construction and he was also a Rancher. He married Lois Evelyn (Horn) on March 23, 1949 in Paris, TX. James is a longtime & very active member of Farris Church of Christ. He love hunting, fishing and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Emmett, Lee and George; and one sister, Jewel Standifer.
