Death of Mrs. Kate Barnhardt.

Mrs. Kate Barnhardt died this morning at her home near Pheonix Mine. Mrs. Barnhardt was 79 years of age and had been in feeble health for some time. She made her home with her daughter at the time of her death. The funeral will be held tomorrow at Cold Springs Methodist Church and will be conducted by Rev. C. F. Sherrill.

Funeral of Mrs. Barnhardt

Mrs. Katherine Ann Barnhardt was buried Sunday afternoon at Cold Springs Church. Rev. C. F. Sherrill conducted the services, assisted by Rec. C. R. Pless. Mrs. Barnhardt was born June 11, 1883, and was 80 years, 10 months, 14 days old. She was a Miss Fink and was married to Charles Barnhardt in 1858. Her husband died during the war in a hospital in Goldsboro, 1863. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James A. Barnhardt and Miss Amanda Barnhardt. Mrs. Barnhardt has been an invalid for five years. She was a noble lady of a fine Christian character and had many friends. A large crowd attended her funeral.
