George W. Benton

George Wilson Benton of Osterburg RD died October 22, 1955, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ross McDonald, where he lived. He was born October 6, 1885, at Queen, a son of David Albert and Mary Ellen (Ickes) Benton. He was married to Myrtle Feathers of Imler, who died in 1944.
Surviving are these children: Mrs. McDonald, Clyde W. Benton, Osterburg and Orie W. Benton, Osterburg, as well as these sisters and brothers John Benton of Imler RD, Joseph Benton of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Anna Mock, Imler RD, Mrs. Sue Mock, Imler RD, and 12 grandchildren.
He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad for whom he worked for 40 years until he retired in 1948.
Funeral services Wednesday, 2:30, at the McDonald home, Rev. Charles Trout officiating with interment in Greenfield Cemetery under direction of Blackburn Funeral Home.
