Laddie Ervin Adamson was born on June 21, 1932 in rural Whitman, ND the son of Arthur Sr. and Angeline (Petrla) Adamson. Laddie attended grade school in Whitman, ND and graduated from high school in Michigan, ND. He joined the United States Army and served his country from 1952 to 1954. In 1954, he attended college at the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. He received his Electrical Education there and later worked for Bentley Electric in Larimore, ND.
On July 22, 1956, Laddie was united in marriage to Donna L. Johnson in Petersburg Lutheran Church, Petersburg, ND. They moved to East Grand Forks, MN in 1960 where he worked GFAFB Electric Thrall and Tupa Electric and the Grand Forks Herald. He was also co-owner of Viking Electric in Grand Forks, ND.
Laddie was currently retired and enjoying time with his family and friends. He was involved in several organizations including the Eagles Club #350, Grand Forks Gun Club and Crestwood PTA were some of his past favorites. Laddie loved fishing, hunting, gardening and playing cards but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Family members who survive Laddie include his wife, Donna, of 52 years; daughters: Kathi (Greg) Anderson of Grafton, ND and Angela Stauss of East Grand Forks, MN; sons: Tim (Helen) Adamson of Dauphin River, Manitoba, Canada and Kent (Shirley Hovde) Adamson of East Grand Forks, MN; grandchildren: Rachel Anderson, Kristi Anderson, Heather Stauss, Teresa, Kyle, Kayla Adamson and Joshua Stagg.
Laddie is preceded in death by his parents, brother Art, Jr. and a sister Connie Adamson.
