"Mrs. Harry C. Wood Is Taken by Death After Long Illness
Grace A., beloved wife of Harry C. Wood, passed peacefully from this life at 8:20 o'clock this morning at the family residence on Third street in this city.
She had been a great sufferer, but through the long four years of her illness during which she was a helpless invalid, she bore her pain with true Christian courage and fortitude, seeking in every way possible to cheer and encourage the loved ones who were in constant attendance at her bedside.
Mrs. Wood was a member of an old Napa family. She was the second daughter of Mrs. Kate Wright and had lived practically all of her life in this city, although she was a native of Fairfield, Solano County.
She was married in Napa just thirty-five years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Harry C. Wood, and a daughter, Mrs. Roy Thompson of Napa. Her mother, Mrs. Kate Wright, two sisters, Miss Irene Wright and Miss Olive Wright of Napa and a brother, Gilbert Wright, of Red Bluff, also survive her.
These sorrow stricken ones have the deepest sympathy of their many friends in their great affliction.
The funeral will be held Thursday morning at ten o'clock from the Webber Funeral Parlors in this city and will be held privately.
Interment will be made in the Yountville Cemetery."
