The Adams Family was living in Whispering Pines, California when William enlisted the Marines.
William arrived in Vietnam and was assigned to Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. Sgt Adams died as a result of gunshot wounds to the body from hostile small
arms fire. He served in the Marines eight years prior to leaving for a tour in Vietnam on 30 October 1967.
Survived by his wife, Pamela M Adams of Los Angeles, CA and his parents, William O and Helen C Adams of Whispering Pines,CA.
