Max D. Beeks, 77, of Bluffton, died at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at Meadowvale Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Meeks was born on Dec. 24, 1933, in Blackford County, to Clayton and Pearl (Fettie) Beeks.
He served in the National Guard for nine years and was a retired security guard.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Sandy Ost of Indianapolis; two brothers, Larry Beeks of Bluffton and Emmett Beeks of Montpelier; and one sister, Rose Yencer of Montpelier.
Mr. Beeks was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd and Ivan Beeks and Clifford Martin.
Calling hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Burial is at Mossburg Cemetery, in Liberty Center.
