Mary Jackson Hylton (Hilton) Cone was born 1807 in Georgia to Thomas Hylton and Mary Roberts Hylton. She married Robert Marlow Cone on November 22, 1824 in Bulloch County, Georgia, and they had seven children: William Aaron Cone, James Jackson Cone, Peter F. Cone, Mahitable "Hattie" Cone Edwards McClelland, Mary E. Cone, Sarah Robert Cone Harrison, and Susannah Frances Cone Strickland. She was widowed in 1845. Mary died in 1870 at age 63 and is buried near her husband in the Old William Cone-Barber Family Cemetery in Bulloch County.
