Edward Adams Sr. Gardener For More Than Forty Years.
Edward Adams Sr., 2476 Browncroft Blvd., Penfield, a gardener in the Rochester area for more than 40 years, died yesterday (June 1, 1953). He was 74. Mr. Adams was employed for 23 years as a gardener for Joseph F. Taylor, Bausch & Lomb Company president, at the Taylor residence in Clover St., Brighton. Previously he worked for 20 years with C. M. Hooker & Sons, a Brighton firm. Surviving are his wife, Rose; two daughters, Mrs. William Van Bortel and Mrs. Howard DeJager; a son, Edward Adams Jr.; six brothers, John, Charles, William, James, David, and Andrew; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Adams and Mrs. William Abrey; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Masonic service will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow in the Emery Funeral Chapel, Fairport. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Emery Chapel. The Rev. Anthony Luidens, Minister of the Brighton reformed church will preside.
