Ronald Wayne Butler passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the age of 60, at his home in Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Sac and Fox and Caddo Tribes of Oklahoma. Ronald was born February 28, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, son of Donna Jean (Edge) Butler and the late Edward Butler.

He was a high school graduate of Lookeba-Sickles High School. After graduation, he studied commercial art at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, before moving to Houston. In 1999, Ronald began his employment, as Library Assistant with the Houston Public Library. He was an artist and silversmith who enjoyed creating Native American jewelry, painting, and drawing. Ronald also enjoyed listening to 70's and 80's oldies music and being with his family.

Wake Service will be held at the Sac and Fox Nation Community Building, Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Sac and Fox Nation Community Building, Friday, November 8, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., Reverend Thomas Morris, officiating. Burial Service will be at the Sac and Fox Nation Cemetery, Friday, November 8, 2013, following the Funeral Service, under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
