Pandily "Punny" Alex 87, of Danville, died June 6, 2009. He was born May 15, 1922 to Mike and Hazel (Kugleman) Alex. Mr. Alex was a farmer and an Indiana State Dairy Milk Tester with Purdue for 15 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of Whitestone Christian Church and a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army. Services: 1 p.m., Tues. June 9, in Whitestown Christian Church located 6 miles west of Danville on US36, with visitation also there 4-8 p.m. Mon. June 8. Burial will take place in Coatsville Cemetery. Survivors: wife: Martha E. (Short) Alex, daughter: Jeanne (Tim) Humphrey, Mt. Juliet, Tn., son: Michael (Jackie) Alex, Jacksonville, Fl, grandchildren: Joshua, Katie, and Angela, great grandchildren: Marissa and Emelia, a sister: Janet Gray, Plainfield, and a brother: Charles Alex, Coatsville. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Frank and Christy Alex, and a sister: Lena Niehaus. Contributions may be given to Whitestone Church in his memory. Weaver& Randoph Funeral Home, Danville entrusted with funeral arrangements.
