Mrs. Mary Rebecca Ackerman, 67, wife of George J. Ackerman, 132 Main Street, McSherrystown, died Friday night at 9:40 o'clock at her home, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Oaster and was married to Mr. Ackerman on June 4, 1907. She was a member of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, McSherrystown; The Arch-Confraternity of the Passion, and the Joan of Arc Circle 475, Daughters of Isabella, McSherrystown.
In addition to her husband, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Delta M. Miller, Chambersburg, and Mrs Anita Myers, at home: two brothers and two sisters, Simon Oaster, Philadelphia and Mrs. Martin Lawrence. Mrs. Ralph Long and Edward Oaster, all of McSherrystown, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services Tuesday morning with brief rites at 8:30 a.m. at her home, followed by a Soleomn Mass of Requiem at 9 o'clock in the Annunciation Church. the rector, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Patrick F. McGee, will be celebrant. Interment in the parish cemetery.
