She was born November 22, 1872, in Christian County, a daughter of Robert and Henrietta Drury Marshall.
Mrs. Abel, a Blue Mound Christian Church member, married David E. Abel in Decatur on October 10, 1894. He died in 1947.
She leaves two sons, Darrall of Illiopolis; Wayne, Blue Mound; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
