Mary Irene Volentine, 95, of Clarksville, Arkansas died on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at her home. She was born on Wednesday, May 7, 1913, in Webb City, Arkansas, to the late Lee Preston and Francis Amanda (Brown) Price. She was a member of the Clarksville First United Methodist Church, and she volunteered for the Mustard Seed.

Mrs. Volentine leaves behind two sisters, Ellen Sharp of Charleston, Arkansas and Oma Lee Armstrong of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandchildren, Joe Dean Valentine and his wife, Marjorie, of Kingsport, Tennessee, Mary Louise Freels and her husband, Clay, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Bobbie Jean Dyer of Knoxville, Tennessee; and six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Volentine is preceded in her death by her parents; her husband, William Travis Volentine; her son and daughter-in-law, Carroll Dean Valentine and his wife, Jo Ann; one brother, Marvin Price; and one sister, Frances Wayne Price.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2009. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Oakland Cemetery, in Clarksville, Arkansas, with Reverend David Hanshaw officiating.
