The funeral for Ila Ruth Crain, 84 year-old Enid resident will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 2:00PM in the Central Christian Church. The Rev. John McLemore will officiate. Burial will follow in Timberlake Cemetery near Jet. There will be a visitation Tuesday evening from 5PM-7PM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

Ila was born November 7, 1929 in Cherokee to John and Onie(Glasgow) Woods and passed away April 6, 2014 at Greenbrier Nursing Home after a long battle with heart problems.

She graduated from Helena High School in 1947. She married Gene Crain on July 11, 1947.To this union four children were born, Cheryl Lynn, Donald Gene Jr., Timothy Wayne and Diana Ruth. She was a special Mom, Grandma and great-grandma. She never missed a birthday or a special occasion with her kids and grandkids.

In 1981 after losing Gene, she went to work for Cheryl in her store for 9 years. Later going to Dillard's for 15 years. She was an awesome sales lady and loved her customers. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and the Soober Sunday School Class. She enjoyed watching Tiger Woods golf, Thunder basketball, O.U. and O.S.U. sports and any sporting event her grandkids were involved with.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gene, her parents, brothers Alvin, Junior, and Vern Woods. Granddaughter Tracy Crain, brothers-in-laws Bill, Charlie and Jim Crain. Also special friend Vern Butler.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl and Roy Fore, Enid, Donnie Crain, Woodward, Tim and Deb Crain, Mt. Grove, MO., and Diane and Butch Mason, Meno. Grandchildren, Shannon Nichols, Shawn and Carmen Fore, Travis and Abbi Crain, Nathaniel and Tiffany Crain, Matt and Bridget Mason Ashley and Scott Hardison, Katy and Andrew Nelson,and Mark Mason, 14 great-grandchildren, Junior, Zoie, Tanner, Shelbi, Lyric, Sidney, Garrett, Allie, Elianna, Lily, Elizabeth, Maisyn, Evie, and Preston. Sisters-in-laws, Hilda and Betty Crain, Helena, and Pat Crain of Enid. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and special friends Irene Green and Linda Bradford.
