BANKSTON, CARRIE BOURN
A resident of Holden, she died at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at Columbia Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 86 and a native of Otts Mill. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Steve Palmer, the Rev. Richard Wallace and the Rev. Bryan McMorris. Interment in Lard Cemetery, Holden. Survived by six daughters, Betty Sullivan, Jewel Ann Laird and Darnell Davidson, all of Denham Springs, Hilda Gill and Martha Bonnett, both of Holden, and Beverly Keen, Albany; two sons, David A. Bankston Jr. and Harvey A. Bankston Sr., both of Watson; four sisters, Louise Acosta, Annie Kennedy and Esther Courtney, all of Baton Rouge, and Grace Jones, Walker; a brother, Rufus Bourn, Baton Rouge; 45 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, David Arthur Bankston Sr.; parents; three daughters, Mary Hughes and two infants; two brothers, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. She was a charter member of St. James Baptist Church, Holden
