Betty Jean Dials, 77, of 9071 S. Dale Lane, Claypool (Beaver Dam Lake), went home to be with her family and the Lord at 2:50 a.m. Sept. 3, 2013, at her residence.
She was born March 23, 1936, in Floyd County, Ky., to Clint and Gladys Ratliff Patton. On May 13, 1954, in Floyd County, she married Alvin Dials, who preceded her in death Oct. 29, 2003.
She worked for General Tire as well as being a homemaker. She also worked for Wagoner's of Wabash and Kroger Egg, also of Wabash.
She was a member of the Grant Street Baptist Church, Wabash. She always loved mushroom hunting and especially fishing. She was always the loving center of the family.
Surviving are two daughters: Sherry (and spouse Robert "Tinker") Ritenour, Claypool, and Norma Smith, Manchester, Ky.; two sons: Alvin (and spouse Michele) Dials, Warsaw; Clint (and spouse Kristy) Dials, Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Otis, Robert and Clinton Patton; and a sister, Delores Conley.
She also was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Bentley, and brothers, Donald and Bill Patton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake, with Pastor Carl Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Arrangements are at King Funeral Home.
