Married first, 29 Mar 1842, James Barden (b. ca 1825, Canada - d. Civil War, 11 Feb 1865, Huntsville, Madison Co, AL). She married second Michael Boshaw (Mitchell Beauchamp), 24 Dec 1870. Harriet's death certificate lists her name as Barden and she is buried in the cemetery lot owned by Nelson Sturdevant, her son-in-law, who was married to Harriet's daughter Jennie Barden.
