Catharina Bernauer was born on December 26, 1744 in Lampertheim, Starkenburg, Hesse-Darmstadt. She married Johannes Stephan on October 18, 1768 in Lampertheim in the Lutheran Church shown to the right. They had two known children during their marriage. 0ne son Adam b1773 died young in 1776. The 0ther son Georg b1783 had a son Philip in 1813 (Same year as this writers G/grandfather Adam) who immigrated to America as well. Undoubtedly there 0ther children in the intervening years.
