He married Flora Ella Woodward on October 5, 1867 in Derby, Vermont--becoming her second husband. Flora was born January 21, 1835 in Fitch Bay, Quebec and died January 23, 1935 in East Stratford (now Stratford Hollow), Coos County, New Hampshire. She'd married William Henry Elliott first, then her nephew Anson Darius Woodward after divorcing Haden.
Son Osman Henry Cass was born March 15, 1862 in Magog, Quebec and died May 13, 1954 in Newark, Caledonia County, Vermont. He and wife Iola are buried together in the same row of headstones.
Daughter Nellie Maude was born May 7, 1867 at Fitch Bay, Quebec, and married Henry F. Reed. She died January 18, 1947 in Maine. She's buried at East Main Street cemetery in Newport, Vermont.
Son James Henry Cass was born April 09, 1871 in Stanstead, Quebec and died May 1, 1953 in Groveton, Coos County, New Hampshire. He is buried in Northumberland Cemetery, Northumberland, Coos County, New Hampshire. He sired 12 children by two wives.
Other children born to Haden and Flora in Canada were Rufus Henry and Marcella "Minnie". In Derby, Vermont twins Anson Darius and Emerson were born in 1885. They divorced sometime between when the twins were born and 1895 when she remarried.
