Formerly of Maywood Dr., Flint, age 66, died Thursday, January 1, 1981, at the residence in Leesburg, Fla.
Funeral services will be held 3PM Monday, January 5th, 1981, at Floral Chapel, Dodds-Dumanois Co. Funeral Home, Dr. Elmer I. Braden. officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Davis will remain at the funeral home where friends may call after 7PM today. Suggested visitation 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mrs. Davis was born in Aurora, Ill., February 5, 1914 and had lived in Flint for over 60 years.
She was instrumental in building and expanding the Flint Junior Golf program which was initiated in the early 50's She was also active as a league secretary in Flint area bowling leagues, past member of Atlas Valley Country Club from 1933-1955 and was employed by AC Spark Plug, retiring from the advertising department in 1972 after 22 years of service with General Motors.
Surviving are: husband, Donald F. Davis of Leesburg, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Donald F. and Janet C. Davis Jr. of Burton; 2 grandchildren, Donald Kevin Davis of Cape Coral, Fla. and Douglas Keith Davis of Burton; mother, Magaret Hamann of Flint; step-brother, James Hamann of Flint; 2 aunts, Mrs. Ruth Perry and Mrs. Frances Heydon, both of Flint; cousin, Mr. Jack Heydon of Flushing, Mich.
