Former Morgantown area resident Eric Alberding died Saturday, January 2, 1999, in Indianapolis. A resident of that city, he was 50. Mr. Alberding was born August 21, 1948, in Indianapolis to Clarence Julian "Duke" Alberding and Margot Kautschor Staggs. His mother survives in Greenwood.
He was graduated from Marion County's Howe High School in 1966. Mr. Alberding had worked as a sheet metal draftsman for more than 30 years. He also had worked at Nuclear Measurement Company and Carr Metal Products Company, both in Indianapolis.
Other survivors include his step-father, Robert C. Staggs of Greenwood; a niece, Brinne Pedigo; and a nephew, Matthew Pedigo.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1977.
The Reverend Wayne Tucker led a service Wednesday, January 6, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown. Burial was in that community's East Hill Cemetery.
