Marjorie Eileen Bruner was born April 8, 1911 at Vinton, Benton County, Iowa. She died Aug. 17, 1978 in Bowie, Maryland where she lived with her sister, Marian, and her mother, Julia Waterstradt Bruner until her mother's death in 1968.

Marjorie attended Lincoln high School in Vinton, Iowa and Business College in Cedar Rapids and received a BA from Coe College in Cedar Rapids. She worked as a secretary for Edinger Cut Stone Co., and Iowa National Insurance Company fo-(for over 30 years) in Cedar Rapids.

She lived at home with her mother and father (Julia & George Bruner). She'd suffered from scarlet fever as a child, which led to a weak heart, life-long restrictions on her life style and eventually, open heart surgery (when that was still a relatively new procedure).

When her father died, Marjorie and Julia decided to join her sister, Marian, in Bowie, Maryland-all three relocated (Marian had been living in New York). They wanted to live together. They were gentle, humorous, generous, loving people and they took good care of each other. Julia died in 1968 (age 87) after a long illness and Marjorie died in 1978 as a result of a bad heart (age 67).
