He fled the Soviet invasion of his home country in 1944 to Sweden, where he obtained his medical degree at Stockhlm's Karolinska Institute. Then, emigrated to Vancouver, BC, Canada and established a medical practice there. Subsequently, he came to Hartford, CT, USA and worked for over 30 years as a staff psychiatrist at the Institute of Living. He left no living children.
