A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Baptist Church for Opal Lee Langham, 79, Calera, who died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma. Rev. Kim McGehee will officiate.
She was born Saturday, March 13, 1926, in Caney to Lee Roy Vest and Bessie Lee (Gunkel). She married Doyle Langham Jan. 9, 1943, in Durant. She was a member of the Bushnell Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers Haskel and Earnest Vest.
She is survived by her brothers Morris Vest, Ravenna, Texas, D.D. Vest, Brownsboro, Texas, Ocie Vest, Paradise, Texas, Cecil Vest and Bill Vest, Celina, Texas, Freddy Vest, Pilot Point, Texas, and Paul Vest, Bogue Chitto, Miss.; sisters Colene Reed, Dallas, Texas, Murlene Clark, Calera, Emogene Moore, Plano, Texas, Imogene Gibson, Plano, Pat Fraze, Calera, Fayola Reeder, Celina, Trenna Glasscock, Willis Point, Texas, and Bernice Stubblefield, Tyler, Texas; sisters-in-law Mary Vest, Caney, and Tommie Vest, Celina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
