W. H. Blair, 58, Elwood, Dies
ELWOOD - W. H. (Happy) Blair, 58, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home, 801 Main St., at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The body was taken to Robert L. Jackley Funeral Home to rest pending completion of funeral arrangements.
Surviving are the widow, Marie; his mother, Mrs. Martha Blair, Elwood; two daughters by a former marriage, Mrs. Martha Kane and Mrs. Virginia Faulstieb, Elwood; and two step-sons, Raymond Dillon, Rainsborough, O., Clifford Dillon, Hillsboro, O.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Gene Fouch, Elwood; three brothers; Otis Blair, Muncie; Garland Blair, Elwood; and Vallie Blair, Chicago; six grandsons and six great-grandsons.
Mr. Blair was born at Alexandria on May 4, 1896, a son of Theodore and Martha Blair, and was married twice, his second marriage to Marie Snyder in 1947.
He was engaged in advertising business many years, and was sponsor of the Elwood Merchants' and manufacturer's Home Show held annually here for many years.A resident of Elwood all his life, he was a veteran of Wolrd War I.
