Born September 4, 1941 in Dunkirk, NY, he was a loving son of the late Leon L. Fancher, Sr. and Ethel Ann Letersky Fancher.
Lee served in the Army and was a proud veteran. After serving his country, he worked with his father, Leon as the service manager for Fancher Buick. He relocated his family to North Carolina to work for Duke Energy as a HVAC contractor at the nuclear station where he retired.
Lee was a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge. A car and motorcycle enthusiast, Lee shared his passion with his grandsons by attending car shows and visiting dirt bike tracks. A devoted and loving father and grandfather, he never missed an activity involving his daughters or grandsons. His most proud and cherished moments were with his two daughters, Jennifer and Melissa.
A graveside ceremony will commence at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20 at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius, NC.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters; Melissa and husband David Rau of Mooresville, Jennifer and husband Ritch Davis of Cornelius; grandsons, Kevin and Nicholas Rau; brother, Gary Fancher (Fredonia Resale) of Fredonia, NY; Uncle, Ralph Letersky of Dunkirk, NY; niece, Lisa Allnatt and great niece, Brooklyn of Fredonia, NY.
